Your Physician- Dr. Syed Saghir, M.D.
Dr. Syed Saghir is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He is the founder and medical director of Kidney Associates of Texas.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Saghir cares for adults with kidney disease and hypertension in outpatient clinics, hospitals, intensive care units and dialysis programs across North Texas.
He sees patients in McKinney and Sherman and throughout the North Texas and Texoma region.
Dr. Saghir completed his Internal Medicine residency at Christ Hospital and his Nephrology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
His clinical expertise includes chronic and acute kidney disease, resistant hypertension, diabetic and cardiorenal disease, glomerular disorders, kidney stones, electrolyte disorders, dialysis and transplant care.
He currently holds nephrology leadership and medical-director roles across North Texas.
His approach emphasizes prevention, early diagnosis and a clear treatment plan that patients and families can understand.
Dr. Saghir works closely with primary-care physicians, cardiologists, endocrinologists and hospital teams to coordinate care from the clinic through hospitalization, dialysis and transplant follow-up.
Outside medicine, Dr. Saghir enjoys time with his wife and three children, gardening and following basketball, football and squash.
